Sunrise

Ma première courtepointe a été realisée sur une période de presqu'une année, depuis la réalisation du modèle qui est de ma création, jusqu'au montage et enfin le piquage. Le tissu utilisé est uni, sept jaunes et oranges et sept verts et bruns et un fleuri pour les centres des carrés et le biais du tour extérieur. Le montage a été realisé selon la méthode de « paper piecing ». Tout est en coton, incluant la bourre très mince. Le piquage a été fait à la machine domestique. Pour mon premier essai, j'en suis bien contente.		My first quilt took almost a year to complete, including the design (my own), sewing and quilting steps. The fabric is bold (seven yellows - oranges and seven greens - browns) with the exception of the middle squares and the external border. For the assembly, I used the paper piecing technique. The fabric as well as the batting is made of cotton. I quilted the piece on my household machine.  For my first stab at quilting, I was very pleased.
